Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general Radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply Isotopes for Radiographic Diagnosis. Performs test on in as well as outpatients. Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine Cameras and varied equipment. Administers Radiopharmaceuticals and establishes protocols used for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Very cognizant of radiation safety. Assists in Diagnostic Radiology as needed. Other duties assigned. Shall follow the ALWAYS Values of HCA.
Education/Experience Required
Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiology Technology and/or Nuclear Medicine required.
Acute care facility experience preferred.
One year nuclear medicine experience preferred.
Licenses with the State of Texas required.
Registered by the ARRT (N) and/or the NMTCB required.
American Heart Association Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross BLS required.
