We are a small, 32 bed Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) offering a full spectrum of care from retirement living, personal care, licensed healthcare, rehabilitation services, respite to memory care services.Job Title: Nurse Aide for Personal CareDepartment: Personal CareStatus: Pool/FlexShift: Days, Evenings, NightsSalary Range: $17.50/hr PLUS Shift Differentials including $2 for Evenings, $1.50 for Nights and an additional $1 for Weekends!At Frederick Living, a part of Garden Spot Communities we know our incredible team members are critical to the quality environment and compassionate care we provide our residents.As a Nurse Aide, supporting our mission will include the following responsibilities:Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the resident's individual needs.Assist residents with eating and drinking such as meal and beverage selection, cueing for meal completion and/or hands-on feeding. Assist residents in between meals with obtaining snacks and hydration throughout the day.Encourage resident participation in leisure activities provided for residents as described in activity calendar, social events, walking program or as needed to practice de-escalation techniques per resident's support plan.Assist in admissions, transfers, discharges, and death procedures.Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including telephone calls, and requests from family and friends, visitors, or other personnel.What do I need for this role with Frederick Living?High school diploma or GED required.Must be willing to obtain medication administration certification upon hire as well as complete a minimum of 6 hours of dementia education annually.Preferred experience in caring for the elderly with cognitive impairments.CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.EOE#J-18808-Ljbffr
