Our client is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Representative who will be focused on selling flat roll carbon steel products. This dynamic role requires extensive travel (75% or more) within the USA to meet clients, attend industry events, and build long-term customer relationships. Responsibilities
- Actively sell flat roll carbon steel products to clients in your designated region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through phone calls, personal visits, internet research, networking, and industry publications.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing outstanding service.
- Travel extensively to meet clients, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events.
- Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations to showcase product features and benefits.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the company's growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; or a minimum of 3 years of field sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven sales experience in the manufacturing industry is required.
- Specific experience in steel sales is a must.
- Willingness to travel 75% or more, including overnight stays, and work a flexible schedule to meet client needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
