DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will receive both formal and hands-on training to care for our veteran residents. After completing an 8-hour online course, a 16-hour classroom session, and an 80-hour orientation program, you will be eligible for promotion to a Nurse Aide position. Our dedicated nursing staff provides 24/7 care for the veterans and their spouses who call DVVH home. Your responsibilities will include a variety of tasks, such as distributing meals, transporting residents, and engaging in social activities. You will also be responsible for changing linens, cleaning medical equipment, and responding to requests for snacks and water. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and 2nd shift (2:00 PM to 10:30 PM), with rotating days and weekends and a 30-minute lunch.
