PositionSummary As a WisCaregiver CNA Trainee, you willhave the opportunity to work at one of our highly rated North ShoreHealthcare facilities. Performing tasks that do not require the CNAcertification but expose you to the work-allowing you to earn a paycheck whileyou work towards your free CNA certification. We will help provide the necessary training, and once you areready for the exam, we will pay for up to 3 attempts. After you becomecertified, you will have the opportunity to work at one of our highly ratedfacilities and apply the skills you learned while working and training! After 6months working in a North Shore Healthcare facility, you will receive a $500retention bonus. Additionally, if you choose to work at one of our facilities,you will be eligible to enroll in our comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities: CNA Trainee - As a CNA trainee,you will assist with day-to-day activities in providing support to residents,nursing assistants, housekeeping, culinary, and activities staff in order toprovide high-quality care
- Assist thenursing team with serving meals, snacks, and fluids (not providing care)
- Ensurerooms are cleaned, organized, and sanitized
- Assisthousekeeping and nursing staff with preparing rooms for new admissions
- Makebeds- ensure resident call lights are easily accessible
- Stockresident rooms with wipes, clean washcloths, clean towels, gloves, etc
- Answercall lights, serve residents, and report to qualified staff if necessary
- Maytransport residents (to and from meals or activities) per community/stateregulations
- Pick updirty trays, glasses, and utensils from resident rooms and dining areas
- Completedaily task sheet and return to unit manager
CNA - Providinggreat patient care
- Answering patientcall lights and responding in a timely manner
- Providing physicalsupport for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, includingbathing, dressing, getting out of bed, using thetoilet, walking, standing, or exercising
- Turning andrepositioning bedridden patients
- Ensuring residentsreceive an appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies,and preferences
- Measuring andrecording food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output to report changesto nursing staff
- Recording vitalsigns, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate asrequested by staff
- Examiningresidents to detect care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in the urine
- Notingobservations of patient behavior, including complaints or physical symptoms, tonurses
- Meeting/responding tothe behavioral, emotional, and psychosocial needs of residents
- Remaining up todate with CNA training and facility policy and procedure
