Nurse Assistant, DVHUnited Health Services is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join our Medical Unit department at DVH in Walton, NY. This is a Per Diem position.ShiftRotationalHours Per Week: 0Salary Range: $16.67 - $24.61 per hour, depending on experience.OverviewPerforms basic patient care under supervision of the Registered Nurse and maintains the patient care and unit environment consistent with the policies, procedures and practices of the Nursing Division and United Health Services. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.Most nursing assistants have a high school diploma or GED, and all nursing assistants must complete a state-approved training program administered by a community college, online school, or medical facility. They must pass a state exam to become certified. Typically, nursing assistants demonstrate a high level of empathy and compassion.QualificationsEducation/ExperiencePreferred:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Completion of a Nurse's Aide program and previous hospital or health care.
- Previous hospital or health care experience.
License/CertificationPreferred:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Relevant skills certification as required by home unit assigned.
