423 Roosevelt Street Remsen Iowa, 51050 Position Summary: A Nurse Assistant assists the nursing department with regards to residents needs. Education / Licensure Requirements: A Nurse Assistant must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English. A Nurse Assistant must complete ongoing in-service training requirements. Essential Job Functions:
- Performs incidental housekeeping and maintenance task as may arise during the course of regular duties, in order to maintain a clean, safe, pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff
- Assists with making the resident's beds
- Passes the water pitcher to residents
- Passes the towel and washcloths to the residents rooms
- Brings up from the basement and distributes nursing supplies
- Cleans resident assist devices such as, but not limited to, walking canes, geriatric chair, walkers, canes, etc
- Straightens residents closets and drawers
