Nurse Coordinator 2024-2025 JobID: 915Position Type:Stipend Positions/Nurse CoordinatorDate Posted:8/28/2024Location:District-WideAdditional Information: Show/HideINTERNAL POSTINGSchool Nurse CoordinatorDistrict Wide2024-2025The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:* In consultation with the Assistant Superintendent of PPS, assess the needs and coordinate in-service training for nurses district-wide;* Coordinate the ordering of health supplies district-wide as appropriate;* Interface with the New York State Department of Health;* Disseminate health alerts to all school nurses, medical director;* Coordinate district-wide training of staff in the areas of toileting, epipen administration and other medical training during the district's professional development days;* Coordinate periodic meetings between nurses and the medical director and provide follow-up minutes to all participants;* Coordinate the submission of Health, BMI, and Vision surveys, or any other required surveys, prepared at the building level;* Coordinate on-site testing of students and staff in accordance with health department guidelines;* Liaison to the medical director;* Other related duties as directed by the Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services;?Stipend: $5,000 annual stipend, prorated accordingly for this school year.* Fingerprint Clearance: SAVE Law: Effective July 1, 2001, Education Law §§305(30), 3004-b, 3004-c and 3035, as amended by Chapter 180 of the Laws of 2000, and Part 87 of the Commissioner's Regulations require the Commissioner of Education to request a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check for applicants for certification as well as for prospective employees of school districts, charter schools and boards of cooperative educational services (BOCES).
