Job SummaryWithin a patient centered culture, the Oncology Nurse Coordinator will provide a positive experience for our patients and community by serving as an oncology educator for staff to assure they are prepared to care for oncology patients efficiently. These tasks will include but are not limited to things such as conducting Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy classes and maintaining infusion staff competencies related to oncology practices. The Oncology nurse coordinator will assure the Cancer Center is incompliance and facilitates additional Cancer Center program accreditations and certifications including but not limited to Commission on Cancer accreditation, Quality Oncology Practice Initiative Certification & American College of Radiology Certification. Participate in community events that promote the spread of accurate and preventative oncology knowledge within the community. Maintain the Wig and Bra bank to assure patients have access to this comfort. Hold and attend meetings including but not limited to Tumor boards. Additional duties as assigned. Travel may be required for things such as community events and organization oncology needs. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesLight Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. with a maximum lifting of 25 lbs.
