The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing direct nursing care and overseeing the administrative activities at one or more Federal Occupational Health Services (FOHS) health centers. This role involves coordinating and supervising other healthcare providers, ensuring that all services are delivered per FOHS agreements and policies, and maintaining high standards of care.Specific Responsibilities:
- Direct Nursing Care:
- Provide direct nursing care at designated FOHS health centers, ensuring the health and safety of patients.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and provide necessary medical care in alignment with FOHS policies and procedures.
- Administrative Coordination:
- Oversee all administrative activities at the assigned health centers, including supervising other healthcare providers and coordinating care delivery.
- Ensure that all services outlined in Type I and Type II agreements are delivered and accurately recorded in FOHS' Management Information System (MIS).
- Assist with the orientation and training of new providers, conduct quality improvement reviews, and ensure that support levels meet operational needs.
- Site Management:
- May be designated as the AED Site Coordinator, responsible for tasks outlined in the site-specific AED plan, ensuring readiness and compliance with AED protocols.
- Communicate site-specific issues, such as staffing, to the Operations Manager promptly to ensure smooth operation and resolution of any challenges.
- Compliance and Communication:
- Ensure that services are provided in compliance with Interagency Agreements and FOHS policies, maintaining familiarity with agency-specific policies and procedures.
- Report directly to the Operations Manager, who is responsible for the overall nursing program in the area, and ensure effective communication regarding site operations.
Desired Qualifications (Additional):
- Experience in urgent care, critical care, or trauma medicine, with proficiency in airway management and neonatal ventilator support.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as Epic, for patient charting and documentation.
- Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- RN licensure
- CPR and AED certification
- Two (2) years of experience in Occupational Health (OH) or related fields such as public health/community health, outpatient clinic, school nursing, or physician office nursing
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience
