This role will support holistic oncology/hematology care by administering chemotherapy/immunotherapy, iron infusions, injections, blood transfusions and will monitor the patient s response. The nurse will be expected to perform clinical assessments, symptom management, and nursing care of venous access devices. As a Clinical Coordinator, you have the responsibility for all clinical areas, which include daily assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the delivery of quality patient care. Lead as a role model and clinical resource for staff, providing guidance and professional development. Facilitates interdepartmental coordination, identifying opportunities for growth and change to ensure that the quality of patient care and services is maintained. Provide training and orientation for all new employees. Develop and implement policies and procedures. Participate in departmental quality assurance,Qualifications
  • Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required
  • ASN or BSN required, BSN preferred
  • AHA BLS prior to start date required
  • Hospital acute and/or subacute care experience required; infusion experience strongly preferred
Scheduling Requirements
  • Day Shift, 40 Hours per week
Essential FunctionsThe Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
