Position Overview

As the Nurse Director of Surgical Services, you will oversee a high-performing team across multiple departments, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes in a welcoming, supportive work environment. With a total of 67 direct reports and the support of a newly created Endoscopy Manager role, you'll drive operational excellence, strategic growth, and staff development within a thriving surgical program.

Surgical Services at a Glance:

• Operating Rooms: 8 ORs currently in use, with a 9th OR to be completed by January 2025.
• Cases: Approximately 1,400 robotic surgeries and 3,500 general surgeries annually, including orthopedic, OBGYN, and urology procedures.
• Robotic Technology: 5 robots, including 4 XI and 1 LS models, supporting advanced surgical techniques.

What You'll Bring:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years in a leadership role preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Licensure: Active RN license in the state of Florida, in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR)
  • Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM)

• A cohesive team with strong, welcoming key players.
• Operations across surgical services, excluding Endoscopy (managed by the new Endoscopy Manager).
• Efforts to reduce turnover and maintain the department's positive culture.
