ResponsibilitiesDevelop and conduct trainings for ACEs that include general overview of being an ACE as well as consumer specific trainingsCollaborate with department directors to determine the training needs of staff through planning, promoting and presenting training specific to departmental needs.Coordinate onboarding activities with Human Resource staff to develop general agency wide orientation for ACEsAssist the consumer with identifying areas of training needed for the ACE within the home. Provide appropriate training in collaboration with the consumer.Provide timely, practical education on the physical and emotional aspects of providing long term care.Support and promote GSIL's consumer driven philosophy.Conduct other duties as assigned that will increase options for persons with disabilities to live independently in the community.Maintain professional knowledge/skills by reviewing professional literature and attending training/workshops.support and uphold GSIL policies and procedures, workplace regulations and safety practices.Required QualificationRegistered Nurse with current New Hampshire license and minimum three years of experience in consumer directed care.Ability to provide training to a variety of individuals in office settings as well as consumer's homes.Must be able to perform each essential duty safely and satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this position, the individual is regularly required to sit, use a computer, a telephone, and other office equipment and to move throughout the building and attend outside meetings. Employees may occasionally need to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, or otherwise move objects (e.g., files or presentation materials). This position requires the ability to express or exchange ideas and to comprehend and present detailed and critical information including but not limited to financial information. Exceptional judgment and creativity are regularly required to evaluate results and make decisions.
