Description:Stony Brook Medicine Nurse Practitioners are valuable members of the Cardiology Division providing essential clinical services to our patient population. We are seeking candidates to provide coverage of our clinical service in the outpatient setting. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:This position will be responsible for providing patient care at the ACP and SBUH. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician, this health care professional will provide health care to patients. Duties include the following:

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Nurse Practitioner: Current NYS RN license. Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in nursing from an accredited school. NYS license as an adult / family Nurse Practitioner. AANP/ANCC certification.
Must possess excellent oral, verbal, and written communication skills; customer service/interpersonal skills, problem solving, organizational skills, time management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:At least one year of clinical experience working as a Nurse Practitioner: Previous experience working in cardiology.
