Summary: We are seeking a personable and motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, to join our Family Medicine Practice in Margaretville, NY. In this role, the APP will exercise autonomy in medical decision making and provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Responsibilities: - General working knowledge and understanding of pathophysiology, patient presentation, differential diagnosis, patient management, surgical principles, health promotion and disease prevention in the care and management in patients with medical and chronic conditions.
- Order diagnostic testing, blood work, and imaging studies and notify patients of results in a timely manner
- Perform office-based procedures and examinations.
- Be familiar with electronic ordering of medications, diabetic supplies or any other equipment as needed.
- Identify appropriate interventions for prevention of conditions.
Qualifications: - Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license.
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 1-year experience, although highly motivated new graduates with interest and abilities in surgery will be considered and are encouraged to apply.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
