Job DescriptionAdelphi is seeking an Autonomous Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide examinations and preventive health services at a facility in Burkeville, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be required to assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement care plans, and maintain medical records. Responds to and initiates care for medical emergencies throughout the facility. Order and perform diagnostic procedures. Prescribe controlled substances and devices in accordance with current regulations. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Provides education to patients, healthcare, and correctional staff. Perform care consistent with the scope of licensure and in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures. Additional duties as assigned by the facility.
