Position Description: Join our caring team as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and provide healing, and a path to recovery for children, adolescents and adults with mental illness. You will be able to use your skills, experience and compassion to restore quality of life to others, and deliver person-centered care in our busy mental health outpatient clinic where you will oversee, deliver and coordinate patient care. Responsibilities: Diagnose, create and implement individual treatment plans which reflect advanced psychiatric practices for clients with a full range of MH diagnoses. Order, monitor and evaluate medical regimens including medications and tests. Address crises, initiate referrals and complete house visits as necessary. Consult with interdisciplinary treatment team including Medical Director and Social Workers as well as other external community resources. Communicate treatment plans and concerns to patients and families. Provide in-service training for staff, clients and families. Utilize computer to develop treatment plans and case summaries. Education/Credential Requirements: MSN with specialization in psychiatry, mental health, adolescent nursing or substance abuse. At least 2 years' experience providing mental health or addiction treatment services. Must be skilled in working with children and adolescents. Licensed to practice in New York State as a Nurse Practitioner. Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification.
