- Perform comprehensive physical exams and health assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with NY state regulations
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Provide referrals to specialists as needed
Job Details
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP), or related specialization
- Strong understanding of primary and preventive healthcare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
