NURSE PRACTITIONER URGENT CARE & OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE Department : Ambulatory Services Providers Location : Michigan City, Indiana Scheduled Weekly Hours : 40 Shift : Alternating Schedule : Regular Full time Work From Home : No Franklin Street Express Care And Working Well 4111 S Franklin St Michigan City, Indiana 46360 WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a fulltime Nurse Practitioner to provide a combination of Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care or Family Medicine and join our team located at Franciscan ExpressCare Michigan City in Michigan City, IN. WHAT WE NEED: The ideal candidate will have experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care or Family Medicine. Candidate will have ACLS/BLS certifications and will be able to see all patient types. Must be certified/willing to become certified to conduct US Department of Transportation (DOT) physicals by the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME). Ideal candidate should be proficient in: Reading basic xrays of all body parts Laceration repair/wound care Initial ECG interpretation Willing to obtain DOT certification Urgent evaluation and treatment of potentially critically ill patients and the appropriate transport of these patients to the closest Emergency Room Department WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday - Sunday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Flexible fulltime schedule No Call Expectation Average outpatient volume: 30+ patients per shift, depending on season Common Procedures: Exposures Lacerations Musculoskeletal injuries Preemployment, DOT, and NonDOT physicals Sprain and Strains Suturing, willing to learn Onsite Equipment: EKG POCT Hospital Radiation Department CT Department WHO WE ARE: Franciscan Health is a nonprofit health care ministry with primary and specialty care physician groups located throughout Indiana and Illinois.
