Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and treating a broad range of endocrine disorders, including but not limited to diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, and hormonal imbalances. You will work collaboratively with endocrinologists and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with endocrine disorders, including history-taking, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans for managing diabetes, thyroid conditions, osteoporosis, adrenal and pituitary disorders, and other endocrine-related health issues.
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication, and lifestyle changes to optimize health outcomes.
- Perform and interpret laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures relevant to endocrine care.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment regimens as necessary under the scope of practice.
- Collaborate with endocrinologists and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive, team-based approach to patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR).
- Participate in continuous education to stay updated on advancements in endocrinology care.
Qualifications
- Education: Masters degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Certification: Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC/AANP) or Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted state licensure as an NP or PA in [state of practice].
- Experience: Previous experience in endocrinology or a related specialty (such as internal medicine) preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical and assessment skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
