With a strong focus on work-life balance, this role provides a structured schedule, minimal weekend requirements, and shift differentials as a form of bonus.Job Title: Correctional Facility Nurse Practitioner (Rochester, NY)Position Type: Full-TimeSalary Range: $125,000 - $150,000 per year (based on experience)* Shift differentials are provided as part of a bonus structure.* Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Responsibilities:* Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals, addressing primary health concerns, wound care, and addiction management.* Conduct health assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and implement appropriate treatment plans in a correctional setting.* Collaborate with a team consisting of a medical assistant and doctor to manage primary care services across three dedicated rooms.* Work closely with the mental health team in the observation unit, which is dedicated to patients who are mentally ill or too ill to be in the general population.* Attend to a caseload of 15-25 patients during an 8-hour shift, dependent on daily facility movement and scheduling.* Ensure care aligns with facility protocols, providing services to both male and female populations (approximately 10% female).* Participate in a guided tour of the facility with the regional manager and Corporal, covering all areas relevant to healthcare delivery.Qualifications:* Certified Nurse Practitioner with an active license in New York.* Previous experience in correctional healthcare or a high-acuity setting is preferred but not required.* Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and the ability to work collaboratively in a secure environment.* Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems; remote access is available for charting and documentation.Schedule & Benefits:* Flexible schedule options: 5x8-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts, with minimal weekend requirements (potentially one weekend every 4 months).* Paid training and orientation led by the regional manager, who oversees training across 10 counties.* Eligibility for county-based tenure benefits after a maximum period of 2 years.Why Join Us?
