Job Overview Nurse Practitioner (NP):Join our client s healthcare team as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the Bronx! The Nurse Practitioner provides coordinated, comprehensive, and continuous primary medical services to patients under the direction of the Vice President, Medical Affairs/Medical Director.Compensation: $123,000 $127,000/yearLocation: Bronx, NYSchedule: Monday to FridayResponsibilities as the Nurse Practitioner:* Patient History & Evaluation: Obtain and review patient medical and psychosocial histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations.* Screening Procedures: Conduct screenings including Pap smears, GC cultures, Chlamydia tests, and Wet preps.* Confidential Services: Facilitate related services for patients while ensuring confidentiality and privacy.* Routine Exams: Perform routine interim physical examinations based on specific risks.* Medication & Treatment: Evaluate patients, prescribe medications, treatments, and make referrals according to policies and current standards of care.* Continuous Care: Provide continuous care and manage common clinical problems encountered in primary care settings.* Patient Education: Participate in patient education and counseling on family planning, STD/HIV, preventive health, and nutrition.* Lab Data Interpretation: Interpret laboratory data, review lab reports, and order additional tests or follow-ups as indicated.Qualifications for the Nurse Practitioner:* Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (preferably in a family practice clinic setting).* Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate easily with individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and religious backgrounds.Application Notice: Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
