St. Josephs Health is currently seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a busy, high-acuity vascular surgery service that will expose you to a highly specialized patient population while also including direct medical management of the hospitalized patient. Available shifts include days, nights, evenings, and weekends, with 10-hour and 12-hour options.Responsibilities:* Manage pre and postoperative care of the hospitalized patient including performing rounds, conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting appropriate tests, admission history and physicals* Collaborate with and work at direction of attending physicians to form plans of care and manage hospitalized patients* First assist in the operating room with all vascular surgery cases* Inpatient only, no clinicQualifications:* NYS licensed PA or NP (RNFA), DEA certified/eligible* Preferred vascular or cardiothoracic surgical experience* Must have inpatient adult medicine experience* NP applicants must already possess their RNFA certificationCompensation package:* Compensation package: $75.00 per hour* $10/hr differential for evenings* $12/hr differential for nights
