Nurse Practitioner Pain ManagementSpring Valley, NY $80,000-$140,000Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join their healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive pain management services to patients, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:
- Obtain complete health histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations
- Prescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for chronic and acute pain
- Instruct and counsel patients regarding goals of pain management therapies, compliance with therapeutic regimens, medication side effects
- Caring for patients with chronic pain
- Prescribing medications appropriate to treatment plans as well as checking PMP for prescriber safety
- Consulting with physicians to find the correct treatment plan for each patient
Qualifications:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Proficient in developing and implementing comprehensive pain management plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
- Active DEA registration
Travel:Traveling throughout Long Island, NYC, Rockland Co., and Orange Co. is required.
