Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe APRN/PA provides medical services to patients. The APRN/PA shall maintain a satisfactory practice protocol under the supervision of a physician. The APRN/PA possesses the desire and ability to teach patients and families, has the potential for realizing abilities and limitations, and demonstrates commitment to continue professional development. Care provided to all ages of patients.Assessment of the health status and provision of health care under the supervision of assigned supervising physician for new and established patients with acute or chronic disease and for maintenance care.Evaluate physical development and psychosocial health status of patients through comprehensive health history, physical exam, diagnostic tests, and lab procedures basic to screening of physical signs and symptoms. Establish appropriate diagnosis and treatment / therapy.Initiating appropriate medical and surgical referrals. The provider may first consult with the supervising physician to determine if it is best to refer the patient to another practitioner within the RHC or on to another service area when appropriate.Responsible for wound care; comprehensive wound assessments, treatment planning, patient education, and collaboration with team to optimize healing and patient outcomes. Serve as a consultant to medical support staff.Initiate and maintain accurate medical records, appropriate legal documents, and other health reports.Counsel individuals, families, and groups about health and illnesses. Promote health maintenance.Recognize, develop, and implement professional and community education programs related to health care.Provide medical care services in accordance with the RHC policies and procedures.Participate in periodically reviewing RHC written policies.Participate with the physician in periodic review of patient's medical records.Participate in the development of patient care protocols.Attend and participate in monthly RHC meetings.Maintains good standing with licensure and malpractice liability insurance.Perform other job related duties and activities as directed by the Clinic Administrator, CEO or Medical Director.RequirementsKansas Board of Healing Arts Licensure as an APRN or PAAdvanced Cardiac Life Support CertificationAdvanced Trauma Life Support CertificationDrug Enforcement Agency RegistrationPediatric Advanced Life Support CertificationWound Care Certification preferred
