The Women's Health Specialist Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an advanced practice nurse responsible for assessing and managing patients in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers, the NP plays a vital role in providing high-quality, family-centered care to patients. This role requires a Master's degree in nursing, advanced certification, and proficiency in medical recordkeeping systems. The NP must possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and be fully compliant with HIPAA regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and complete physical examinations
• Order and interpret medical laboratory test results
• Administer medications, perform minor surgeries, and provide coding for billing
• Act as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts
• Mentor new staff and physician assistant students

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program - required
• Proficiency in computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
• Current NP, ATLS, and BCLS certifications

Physical Demands

• Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and other physical demands as needed in a clinical setting
