We are currently seeking Nurse Practitioners with prior neurosurgery experience for immediate F/T opportunities. Our ideal candidates will be flexible, willing, and able to work a combination of days, nights, and weekends.
DUTIES:
- As a Nurse Practitioner in our Neurosurgery Department, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of care, including medicine, pre-op, post-op, and discharge responsibilities. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.
- Evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and managing treatment plans.
- Ordering and interpreting lab tests
- Counseling patients
- Performing various medical procedures and assisting in surgical operations.
- Conferring with attending physicians, residents, and other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor s Degree required.
- Graduate of an accredited NP program, required.
- A licensed Nurse Practitioner by the New York State Department of Education is required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
SALARY: $ 65.31/hr. - $73.541 DOE Plus, Shift Differentials & Full 1199 Benefits
