Signing bonus offered!As a Registered Nurse, you will provide nursing care and services to a youth and adolescent population with emotional, behavioral and physical needs using the nursing process (assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating). You will report to the Nursing Manager and you will work onsite.Responsibilities:Complete the nursing assessment, evaluation and treatment plan of care for the physical and behavioral/emotional health of the residentsCase management of outside provider visits (medical and dental) including annual assessmentsReview lab and test results, reporting critical values to providersMedication management including ordering medications and obtaining prior authorizationsDispense medications; report/discuss observed side effects or other concerns with consulting psychiatristProvide client and family education regarding medications and treatments\Collaborate with our staff regarding concerns and behaviorsCommunicate with medical director/providers regarding changes in client's health/behaviorParticipate in Interdisciplinary Medication Review meetingsNursing and medical documentation using EHRProvide training to residential counselor staff regarding reporting/recording of observedbehaviors and possible side effects relating to medicationsUpdate discharge planning needsParticipate when assigned in agency committeesOther duties as assigned within scope of practice and based on agency needsRequirements and Education:RN Licensed in New York StateRegistered Nurse 1-2 years' experience preferredExperience working with youth and adolescent population desired BenefitsHealth care package: medical, dental, and vision Tuition reimbursement Paid time off Holiday Pay 401 (K) plan Life Insurance Loan repayment assistance Free training/CEU opportunitiesAbout Northern RiversAt Northern Rivers Family of Services, we work together to make a difference in our client's lives.
