Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.+ On site daily+ Supervises LPNs and/or Medical Assistants+ Maintains emergency medical kit at each location.+ Develop and implement a plan to have staff and patients, where appropriate, trained in the prescribed in the use of Narcan kit.+ Support patients in the (self) administration of medication+ Documentation of (self) administration of medication+ Performs TB and Drug screenings on all patients within 72 hours of admissions.+ Performs routine urine drug screens as directed by the treatment/recovery plan.+ Monitors and records vital signs.+ Provides triage and provides medical services accordingly.+ Performs TB screenings on all patients.+ For patients with health care needs, schedules, and coordinates all medical appointments, and provides periodic follow-up.+ Reviews and transcribes medication orders and monitors medication records for compliance.+ Observes and records response to treatment/medication and notifies the Medical Director, the Director or Nursing, and the Program Director of any such instances.+ Monitors ongoing/chronic medical problems.+ Manages minor needs of patients including attending to minor injuries, administering routine medications.+ Maintains all medical records.+ Performs QA activities.+ EKG+ Performs accurate and complete audits of medication transported, received, administered, stored, or disposed, as trained, and assigned, in accordance with Phoenix House medication policies and procedures.+ Remains current with all training as directed by Phoenix House**COMPETENCIES (KSAs)**+ Ethical Practices+ Judgment+ Relationship Management+ Time Management+ Empathy+ Professional Boundaries+ Global and Cultural Awareness+ Critical Evaluation+ Problem Solving+ Decision Making+ Communication+ Teamwork+ Crisis Management+ Technical Capacity**Qualifications****REQUIRED EDUCATION**+ RN with valid NYS license**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE**+ At least three years related experience.+ Qualified by training, education, and experience in providing nursing care for chemically addicted patients and patients withdrawing from alcohol and or drugs.**REQUIRED LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS**+ NPI Number+ Medicaid / Medicare Number (preferred)**WORK ENVIRONMENT**+ This job operates in an indoor office environment.
