Licensed Practical Nurses are vital members of a multi-disciplinary team focused on providing compassionate care and patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with serious mental illness. LPNs at Manhattan Psychiatric Center, under the direction of a Registered Nurse are:Performing nursing care tasks consistent with individual treatment plansAdministering medicationAttend to individuals' personal care needs including daily living and hygiene tasksCollect blood samples Observe patients and report changes in their condition; take and record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure; obtain specimens for analysis and perform other medical procedures as ordered by a physician.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
