They are seeking a dedicated Nursing & Staff Educator who will be instrumental in developing and delivering educational programs that support regulatory compliance and staff development. As part of their team, you'll work in a collaborative environment where your contributions make a real impact on both patient care and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development & Implementation: Lead the creation and delivery of innovative educational programs tailored to meet organizational needs and regulatory standards.
- Procedure & Policy Management: Review and revise nursing procedures, competency checklists, and educational materials, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
- Orientation & Continuing Education: Conduct orientation sessions and ongoing education based on adult learning principles, serving as both a content expert and role model.
- Competency Planning: Anticipate future staffing needs and develop corresponding orientation and competency plans.
- Performance Improvement: Monitor and assess educational outcomes, implementing interventions to address knowledge and practice gaps.
- Regulatory Compliance: Promote awareness and adherence to patient safety regulations and other mandatory requirements.
- Team Development: Provide remediation for staff in areas requiring additional skill or knowledge, ensuring all team members meet educational and competency standards.
- Committee Participation: Represent the organization on various committees, contributing to policy development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in behavioral health nursing.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
Preferred:
- Education: Masters Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education.
- Experience: Background in Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, or Staff Development.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid NJ State Registered Nurse License.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support certification (or must obtain within the first 90 days of employment).
