Step 3: Join us at the Hedrick building, (211 Friday Center Dr., Chapel Hill, NC 27517) on October 3, 2024, any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Free parking on-site is available. ***Why join UNC Health?* * State benefits package, including traditional benefits as well as paternal leave, wellness programs and discounts, State of North Carolina retirement, and career advancement opportunities.* Tuition Waiver and Academic Assistance.* Join a leading academic health system that is state-wide in North Carolina. ***How to Qualify: * *Clinical Support Tech I* * High School diploma or GED. * Listed as Nurse Aide I Registry with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.* Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.* Requires six (6) months of clerical or customer service experience. *Clinical Support Tech II ** High School diploma or GED. * Listed as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. * Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. * Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. * Requires one (1) year of clerical or customer service experience and three (3) months of nursing assistant experience. ***Nursing Assistant I ** Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. * Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. * Prefer six (6) months of nursing assistant experience. *Nursing Assistant II ** High School diploma or GED. * Listed as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. * Listed as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. * Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. * Six (6) months related nursing assistant experience. ***RN New Graduate Registered Nurse ** Graduation from a school of professional nursing * If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within. four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date. * Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina by the day of clinical care. * Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. *RN Clinical Nurse II ** Graduation from a school of professional nursing. * If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date. * Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. * Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. * One (1) year of nursing experience. ***RN Care Manager ** Graduation from a state-accredited school of professional nursing. * If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date. * Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. * Two (2) years of health care experience as a Registered Nurse. ***Surgical Tech I ** Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. * Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing program; or graduate of a Military Training Program in Surgical Technology; or formal education/training may be substituted for individuals with 3+ years of prior experience as a surg tech.*Surgical Tech II** High School Diploma or GED or graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing program or graduate of a Military Training Program in Surgical Technology; or formal education/training may be substituted for individuals with 5+ years of experience as a surgical tech. * Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification. * Minimum of 3 years OR experience required. * Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or Tech in Surgery (TS-C) through The National Center of Competency Testing preferred.
