As a Nursing Educator/Infection Control Nurse you will: Plan, coordinate and teach continuing education and in-service education for the hospital, including General Orientation. Develops monthly education calendar. Conducts corporate compliance agreement training and other needed staff education. Participates in development of short-term and long-term educational goals based on identified needs through Quality Council and annual assessments.Collaborates with managers to evaluate staff competency. Manages facility wound care program including standards of care and practice related to wound, ostomy, and continence patient care needs. Functions in the role of expert wound clinician, coordinator, educator, consultant, and researcher. In collaboration with the medical staff, monitors the clinical wound care of patients and provides clinical support and consultation to improve patient care and patient outcomes. Qualifications As a Nursing Educator/Infection Control Nurse you will have:Bachelor of Science in Nursing / BSNMaster of Science in Nursing / MSN preferredLicensed in the state of practiceInpatient Psychiatric Nursing experience BLS Certification required. ICP or related certification preferred. Experience in Infection Control with basic knowledge of the principles of epidemiology and infections, diseases, sterilization, sanitation, and disinfection practice preferred
