MCHD has averaged in the 94th percentile in the US over the past 8 years!This is a Full Time Position.SUMMARY: Plans, organizes and directs the provision of resident care in the Memorial Nursing & Rehabilitation Center (Department). This position is responsible for all planning, organizing, staffing, directing, budgeting, reporting, compliance with regulatory and accreditation authorities, etc. necessary to insure considerate, private and respectful resident care. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly manages supervisory and non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelors degree in Long-Term Care Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.LICENSE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTSCurrent Texas Nursing Home Administrators License.OTHER REQUIREMENTSKnowledge of Medicare / Medicaid regulationsKnowledge of Federal, State, and MCHD standards for health care providersKnowledge of utilization review and case management procedures.Personal computer skills.Excellent verbal / written communication skills
