SUMMARY

The Nursing Leader oversees patient care and provides clinical expertise at DeMay Living Center, a 180 bed skilled nursing facility connected to Newark-Wayne Community Hospital. This position will involve working off shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: DeMay Living Center, Newark, NY

DEPARTMENT: Long Term Care

SCHEDULE: Off Shift - Evenings, Nights, Weekends

ATTRIBUTES

• Minimum of two (2) years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience
• Leadership experience preferred
• Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task, lead and prioritize effectively

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unit Management. Oversee patient care and documentation, maintain a safe environment, and facilitate collaboration among staff and providers.
• Leadership. Mentor and coach staff, assist with patient flow, and serve as a liaison between departments.
• Patient Care. Address patient and family concerns, provide culturally sensitive care, and support informed decision-making.
• Education: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
• Physical Requirements: Medium Work

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
