Are you looking for a fun and challenging summer internship in the area of Occupational nursing/medical field? We are looking for an intern to assist with various office and health and wellness projects in our manufacturing facilities in the Green Bay area. As an intern you will participate in a learning experience designed to develop confidence and competence in a medical occupational health setting.Responsibilities
- Medical Documentation: Assist in entering demographics, scanning medical data and/or optimizing our Electronic Medical Records System.
- Patient Care: Following mentorship and orientation, the candidate will have the ability to work independently under the direct or remote supervision of an RN preceptor in the following areas:
- Assist in safe, direct care to employees
- Vitals including blood pressure, heart rate, respirations, lung sounds, blood sugar and O2 saturation as necessary.
- First aid
- Helping employees schedule medical appointments.
- Professional Development: Enhance professional growth and development through participation in reconditioning the ergonomics program at Green Bay Packaging. Duties would include evaluating job duties as well as developing and implementing solutions to reduce job-related worker injury and illness.
- Training: Work within Green Bay Packaging's Divisional Policies to develop digital signage on various wellness topics to be displayed on digital signage or presented in person throughout the divisions and at a Wellness Fair within Green Bay Packaging.
- Assist the RN with training on medical and safety topics within the company.
- Update and replenish First Aid and trauma supplies throughout the building as needed. Conduct AED inspections.
Qualifications
- Education: High school graduate. Must be enrolled in a nursing or healthcare related program.
- Must be able to use normal office equipment (scanner, printer, copier, computer)
- Must have the willingness to learn and desire to gain knowledge to develop skills and improve work performance.
