Description of DutiesThe State University of New York (SUNY) College at Canton seeks qualified applicants for two full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor positions teaching in the Department of Nursing beginning August 2024.Duties include teaching in the classroom, skills lab, and clinical areas for the RN and/or RN-BSN nursing program.ResponsibilitiesAdditional responsibilities include student advisement, scholarly activity, assisting in program and curriculum development, assessment, and institutional service.QualificationsRequired:* Valid unencumbered NYS RN license required.* Master of Science degree in nursing required at the time of hire, terminal degree preferred (e.g. Ph.D., DNP, Ed.D), terminal degree required for continuing appointment.Preferred:* Three years teaching experience preferred.Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check.Closing Date for Receipt of ApplicationsReview begins immediately and will continue until the position is filled.Apply for Position
