The Customer Service Representative & Ride Operator at Nut Tree involves providing excellent customer service, handling ticket and merchandise sales, and ensuring the safe operation of the carousel and train rides. This role creates a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all visitors. This position operates with minimal supervision, requiring a self-motivated and responsible individual. Responsibilities
- Greet all customers in a friendly, professional manner, and provide basic information about the plaza and its attractions.
- Process transactions for tickets and merchandise sales using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Ensure accurate handling of cash and balancing of the till at the end of the day.
- Restock merchandise and maintain organized displays.
- Clean and organize the ticket booth including wiping countertops, organizing shelves and countertops, cleaning ticket booth windows, and disposing trash.
- Operate the carousel and train rides in accordance with state (DOSH) regulations and company procedures.
- Ensure all customers meet height requirements and are safely secured before starting the ride.
- Recite safety instructions and monitor the safety of riders throughout the ride.
- Clean and disinfect ride surfaces including animals and seats.
- Dust and polish carousel and train brass, as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of Nut Tree Plaza.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computers and POS systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Punctual, dependable and able to follow instructions and procedures and be responsive to management requests.
- Ability to ask questions when necessary and solicit feedback to improve performance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, sit or walk.
- Occasionally required to lift, carry or pull up to 25 pounds.
- May need to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, kneeling crouching or crawling.
