This Nutrition Aide position is full time, 40 hours per week. Rate of pay is $14.52 hourly. Eligible for personal and annual leave, medical benefits and retirement plan.KEY FUNCTION:Under the general direction of the PHS Center Based Coordinator, direct supervision may be assigned according to program needs. The Nutrition Aide is responsible to prepare meals, shop for food, complete the CACFP paperwork and clean and maintain the kitchen.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Attend all required staff trainings.
- Assist in food preparation.
- Pick up lunch and deliver to classrooms, as needed.
- Shop for the food that is required for meals and snack.
- Order paper and janitorial supplies, as needed.
- Complete production forms, blue slips, cleaning schedules and lunch count forms.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic knowledge of child development.
- Must have experience working with children.
- Basic knowledge of behavior management.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have excellent paperwork and computer skills.
- Dependable.
- Flexible - adaptable to frequent change.
- Able to communicate with staff and parents.
- Able to get a Food Handler's permit and become certified in First Aid and CPR.
- Must be available for full time work with flexible hours as needed.
- Understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to obtain a valid Food Safety Manager's Certificate.
- Must be able to lift 25-30 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, kneel, and get up from the floor and small chairs frequently.
