POSITION SUMMARY

Assists the department in the clerical aspects of preparation for patient meal service through accurate menu processing and assisting patients with menu selection. Prepares dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of meals for hospital patients.

QualificationsPosition RequirementsEducation/Qualification
  • Licensure/Certifications: Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Related experience or education demonstrating a knowledge of normal and modified diets and the Carbohydrate Counting and Protein Exchange System
Skills
  • Previous networked computer experience preferred
  • Basic typing skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 2 hours)
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time (up to 6 hours)
