Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Nutrition Care Representative to join our Okchamalis Unit 3 team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.Summary:Provides outstanding customer service through the overseeing of patient meal orders, the delivery and setting up of patient meal trays and the coordination of further patient nutrition needs.Responsibilities:* Handles routine customer complaints and incidents, exhibiting the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of supervisory personnel* Prepares nutritious and attractive meals ensuring special nutritional needs are met* Maintains proper sanitation and safety practices* Educates on menu, dietary options and healthier options and answers any questions* Review patient orders , making sure the selections comply with physician ordered modified diets* Communicates diet order and changes to ensure that patients receive accurate and timely meals and snacks* Sets up and breaks down the patient trays ensuring patient safety and satisfaction* Records, modifies and delivers food using two patient identifiers according to physician diet orders* Collaborates with nursing, identifying patients with functional impairments that may need further feeding assistance* Provides first class customer service - courteous and helpful to all internal and external customer types- Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner- Partners with internal and external services as needed to ensure appropriate referral is made- Greets and engages with a smile- Determines needs, seeks positive experience and outcomes* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types- Maintains general upkeep of work area and maintains a safe environment- Maintains and promotes professionalism- Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics- Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards* Maintains knowledge of and follows all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.* Performs all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Essential:* Able to follow instructions, both written and oral * Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements* Ability to work independently* Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability* Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines* Define problems, collect data and establish facts* Works well within a team* Ability to plan, organize and follow through on assignments* Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and managementSkills:Experience:Essential:* 1 year directly related experienceEducation:Essential:* High School, GED or EquivalentCredentials:Essential:* Pass general background check* ServSafe CertificationWorking Conditions:Essential:* Hospital or Clinic* Potential exposure to biohazards* May be required to assist individuals with unmanaged emotions* Pass pre-employment drug test* Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach* Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp* Manual dexterity* Sometimes lift and or carry up to 25 lbs* Standing up to 100% of shift* Walking up to 100% of shift
