Description: - Possesses skills to carry out a large scale food service program.
- Assists in promoting the school lunch program, the nutritional well being of each student, and the orderly and effective operation of the kitchen.
- Accepts responsibility for tasks designated by the manager.
- Participates in the preparation, cooking, and baking of a variety of foods.
- Stores left over foods properly.
- Performs necessary clean up work.
- Represents the school and the school district in an ethical and professional manner at all times.
- Maintains regular, on-time attendance.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures of the Indian River School District as established by the Board of Education and the Superintendent.
- Performs other assigned duties.
Qualifications: - Is a high school graduate or equivalent.
- Demonstrates the tact to deal amicably and effectively with people.
- Is physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and 50 feet.
- Clean Criminal Background Check, TB test and child protection registry clearance must be completed prior to start of employment.
