OBJECTIVE:We are seeking an individual with strong business development skills combined with formulation experience. The ideal individual will formulate and implement diets for wean to finish and sow producers across the Midwest and Make decisions on nutrition program, nutrition research, diet specifications, Will also have direct responsibility as account manager for customer accounts.Develop new nutrition and procurement business with pork producers and feed mills in assigned area.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other duties as assigned)
- Independently formulate and manage diet formulas in Concept 5 formulation package to ensure diets are implemented at feed mills in a timely manner.
- Travel to the field to discuss and review pig performance with clients; evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues; identify and implement any necessary adjustments.
- Work with field staff to ensure quick and concise follow up to any nutritional issues and adjust as necessary.
- Take part in regular meetings with vendors and other partners to ensure success of programmatic activities.
- Participate in monthly research and production team meetings to communicate research and nutrition updates to other Pipestone business units.
- Participate in tri-annual nutrition formulation audits by evaluating consistency and identify opportunities for diet formulation improvements, and implement any changes
- Provide Account Management for current nutrition and procurement clients.
- Grow swine nutrition client base through nutrition consulting and ingredient procurement services.
- Develop and maintain preferred relationships with key stakeholders in clients' organizations.
- Utilize CRM to track current and prospective client information.
- Assist with Business Development updates for assigned territory at Nutrition Team meetings.
