Position Overview:

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing personalized dietary plans, and providing education on healthy eating habits. The Dietitian will work together with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to incorporate nutritional interventions into the comprehensive patient care plan. The position responsibilities also include building and maintaining relationships with community partners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Provide nutrition counseling and education to individuals and groups, addressing specific health conditions and dietary concerns. Including but not limited to diabetes, heart diseases, hypertension, obesity, malnutrition, and kidney diseases.

* Monitor patients' progress and adjust nutrition plans as needed.

* Document patient interactions and maintain accurate records.

* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition interventions into overall patient care and providing referrals to healthcare professionals as appropriate.

* Participate in community outreach programs to promote nutrition awareness and preventive healthcare.

* Provides monthly, quarterly and annual program reports.

* Stay updated on the latest nutritional research, guidelines, and trends to enhance patient care and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

* Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field

Experience:

* At least one (1) year of experience in a clinical health setting.

Licensure

* Registered Dietitian credentials and state license.

* Valid Driver's License (Texas upon hire)
