Meeting Street is currently looking for a WIC Nutritionist working 40 hours weekly.*Starting pay at $21 per hour*Duties:
- Provide basic nutritional education and consultation services to pregnant mothers, mothers, postpartum women, and their children under age 5 with the goal of promoting healthy development and well-being.
- Build trusting relationships to partner effectively with parents, children, and extended families.
- Provide nutrition education for families based on their individual needs.
- Anthropometric assessment of clients via height, weight, and hemoglobin, and lead to determine risk eligibility per program guidelines.
- Issuing benefits to eWIC cards and data entry within the Crossroads electronic medical record.
- Identify family needs beyond the scope of the WIC program and make referrals to other Rhode Island-based community and family resources. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in providing clinical care and assessment of clients.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related area and DPD accredited nutrition program.
- Experience providing support to high need populations.
