ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONSPerforms purchasing liaison dutiesPerforms office supply dutiesPerforms inventory liaison dutiesPerforms volunteer/intern liaison duties and trains volunteers/internsMay serve as a Notary PublicPerforms travel liaison dutiesPerforms administrative duties for the officePerforms postage coordinator dutiesPerforms time-keeping liaison dutiesAssists staff with equipment/building maintenance needsProcesses incoming and outgoing mailAssists management with tracking and monitoring budgetPerforms backup money-handling duties to process child support paymentsServes as backup to the receptionistScan and index documentsReview and maintain child support virtual files for accuracy in the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) repositoryPerforms related work as assignedMaintains relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functionsAttends work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work scheduleEnsures security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected informationComplies with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrityQualifications:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Graduation from high school or equivalentEducation:Completion of three years (ninety credit hours) from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: full-time Child Support Program, business administration, complex clerical, secretarial, customer serviceSkill in using a computer for word processing and data entry/retrievalSkill in the proper use of punctuation, sentence structure, grammar, and spellingSkill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlinesSkill in effective oral and written communicationSkill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision makingAbility to receive and respond positively to constructive feedbackAbility to work cooperatively with others in a professional office environmentAbility to provide excellent customer serviceAbility to work in person at assigned OAG work location, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG workspace within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) for the entirety of every work week (unless on approved leave)Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travelAbility to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSAAbility to lift and relocate 30 lbs.Ability to travel (including overnight travel) up to 15% Ability to type 45 words per minute (Typing test required at time of interview)Administrative Assistant (AA) IV: All of the above minimum qualifications for an AA III, PLUS:Experience: One additional year of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: full-time Child Support Program, business administration, complex clerical, secretarial, or customer service; may substitute a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSEducation: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universitySkills: Using MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Salesforce software programsOther Language: Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak SpanishTO APPLYTo apply for a job with the OAG, electronic applications can be submitted through either CAPPS Recruit or Work in Texas.
