Our salaries have been updated and are competitive at both the state and national levels with wonderful benefits.Full-time employees receive 56 paid days off during their first year of employment (this includes every other Friday off PAID for your wellness needs). Our staff are our greatest asset, and we treat them as such!We are pleased to present the following position for your consideration:Overview: Oasis AssociateHeritage has job openings for individuals to work with the homeless population at Heritage's Oasis Day and Resource Center in Decatur/Macon County. The Oasis Day Center is traditionally open 10 hours each day (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.), 365 days a year.Core Responsibilities Include:Linkage for our guests to appropriate servicesAdvocacy, client-centered consultation, monitoring, and assessment of client needsBuilding of relationshipsAssisting individuals in navigating the employment processMonitoring of the physical environment (both indoors and outdoors).Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Compassion, patience, and understanding of the homeless population's challengesAbility to comply with the rules and regulations of those organizations to which we are accountableHigh ethical and professional standards of conductPossess the flexibility to work with high risk clients with complicated problemsPossess an attitude of wanting to continuously improve their own performance as well as that of HeritageAbove average computer skills (hardware/software)Excellent organizational skillsAbility to work within a team-based environmentAbility to work alternating weekends and holidays on a routine basis.Education and Experience:A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is requiredPrevious experience of working with the seriously and persistently mentally ill, substance using, and/or homeless populations is recommendedExperience providing support to individuals in obtaining employment is highly desirableA valid Illinois driver's license, reliable means of transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance are also required of all Heritage employees.Salary Range: $37,440-$45,760 per year ($18.00 - $22.00 per hour) - dependent on education and experienceHeritage also offers the following with this position:Generous vacation, sick, and personal leaveWELLNESS days - 26 days per year (every other Friday off paid)Paid holidays - 9 in 2024Health Club/Fitness ReimbursementEmployee Assistance ProgramContinuing education opportunitiesTuition assistance programAgency provided life insurance and short-term disability policiesRetirement plans (401k and Roth)Optional insurance benefits, including health, dental, vision, flex spending accounts (healthcare, dependent care), and additional life insurance.
