OPEN POSITION: Nurse Practitioner - OB/GYNSCHEDULE: - Full-Time- 40 Hours per Week- Exact Schedule Negotiable- No On-Call- No Nights- No WeekendsOFFICE HOURS:- Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 6:00pm- Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm- Closed Weekends- Closed HolidaysCOMPENSATION:- $130,000 to $150,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience- Sign-On Bonus- Malpractice Insurance- Medical / Dental / Vision Insurance- CME Allowance- Paid Time Off Package- Paid Holidays- 401k w/ 4% MatchLOCATION: New Hyde Park, Long Island, New YorkCOMPANY PROFILE: Having opened its first office more than 20 years ago, this organization is now the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater NYC metro area. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, allergy and immunology, dermatology, and more. Their large staff of physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, utilizing resources such as on-site laboratory services.POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Nurse Practitioner will provide medical services in collaboration with OB/GYN physicians. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:- obtain and document patient histories as appropriate to chief complaint or reason for visit- conduct relevant physical exams and evaluate patients, documenting pertinent findings- treat routine gynecological problems, such as vaginal yeast bacterial infections or UTIs- perform pap smears- screen for cervical cancer- test for sexually transmitted diseases- diagnose and treat pelvic conditions- conduct breast exams- provide contraception such as IUD insertions- provide breast self examination and lactation education- prescribe medication in accordance with state and federal law- order appropriate laboratory, radiological, and special examinations or tests; interpret results- instruct and counsel patients by describing therapeutic regimens- collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care for patients- attend staff educational programs and meetings- be willing to be trained in gynecological procedures as neededA variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon types of appointments scheduled.All visits are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical assistants.The practice utilizes the Epic EHR.REQUIREMENTS:- New York NP license- DEA- 1+ year of OB/GYN experienceHOW TO APPLY:To apply for this position, please send your resume to Jenn Kunkel at or call .Please visit for a full list of openings at CHS Recruiting.
