Occupational Therapist- Fee For Service (FFS)Lackawanna, NY, USAReq #372Monday, June 10, 2024Job Summary:Provide occupational therapy services to individuals as outlined in their Individual Education Plan or Individual Family Service Plan. Services are to be provided in accordance with New York State practice act guidelines for Occupational Therapy Services, the American Occupational Therapy Association as well as in accordance with all company, state and federal standards and regulations; as well as within all regulations and requirements set forth by the organizations with which the company collaborates.Essential Job Duties:Reviews all available documentation related to the individual prior to beginning treatment; including the IEP/IFSP, script and prior evaluations if availableDevelops an appropriate treatment plan for each individualPerforms treatments according to IFSP/IEP and accepted professional standards and practicesConducts ongoing assessment of individual during each visit and modifies goals/outcomes/treatment plan accordinglyPerforms appropriate parent/caregiver education and develops home programs as necessaryWorks as part of an inter-disciplinary team, utilizing communication with all team members to enhance the treatment program of the individualMaintains an accurate scheduleSubmits all required documentation of visits according to established proceduresPerforms evaluations as assigned and when necessaryCommunicates with families on a regular basisKeeps abreast of legal responsibilities, professional ethics, standards of practice and agency rules, policies and regulations.Provides for own professional growth by attending continuing education and in-services; tracking this to assure compliance with state licensing requirementsDiscontinues therapy when child no longer meets eligibility requirementsProvides own transportation to service locationsMaintains client confidentiality with HIPPA/FERPA and agency guidelinesMaintains professional appearance, follows agency dress codeAttends annual fee for service meeting and any other meetings required by your supervisorAttends CPSE and IFSP meetings for individuals on caseload as requiredAdheres to and signs Annual Employee AgreementDocuments time off and time worked accurately according to agency policiesPerforms other duties and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by their direct supervisorWill be reimbursed for each session that is completed appropriately and in accordance with established billing procedures.Skills:• Basic computer skillsCompetencies:• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Strong organizational skills• Strong time management skills• Interpersonal skillsEducation:Minimum Degree Required: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a Bachelor's DegreeExperience:Minimum Experience Required: 1-2 years of pediatric experience is requiredLicense/Registration/ Certification:• New York State Occupational Therapy License and Registration• Valid NYS Driver's LicenseTraining:• Minimum of 36 hours of Continuing education per licensing period (3 years) as per NYS Office of Profession guidelines• All required agency trainings• All trainings required by programs you service individuals in, including but not limited to, OCFS and Early InterventionPhysical Requirements:The frequent physical demands of the position are sitting, standing, walking, climbing, talking, listening, repetitive motions, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling of children and grasping.All services rendered will be paid at the Fee For Service (FFS) rate, per the service provided.Other detailsJob FunctionNon-EssentialRequired EducationBachelor's DegreeApply NowLackawanna, NY, USA
