Occupational Therapist, Home Health
As an Occupational Therapist in Home Health, you will:
- Assess and develop therapeutic retraining programs for patients in their homes
- Coordinate with the patient's physician and other healthcare team members to develop treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic treatment and instruction to improve patient strength and function
- Review and expand retraining programs to meet patient needs
- Consult with vocational team members to implement vocationally oriented plans
- Report patient status and progress to the physician, rehabilitation staff, and patient's family
- Participate in care coordination and discharge planning activities
- Design community reintegration activities for physical reconditioning and psychological adjustment
- Recommend and design special adaptive equipment for clients
- Coordinate, oversee, and supervise Occupational Therapy Assistant and Home Health Aide performance
- Accurately document patients' care observations, interventions, and evaluation
Required Experience/Skills:
- Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
- A minimum of six months of occupational therapy experience preferred
- Home Health experience a plus
- Current and unrestricted OT licensure
- Current CPR certification
- Good organizational and communication skills
- A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Pay Range: $76,800 - $105,800 per year
